"The Shout"

No to mining!- I’ve been shouting this for almost 3 years now, my fellow Mindorenos keep shouting and fighting for our rights- the right to be free from mining operators, the right to protect the virgin forest and mountains of our dearest province, the right to save our life and the next generation!

Before I continue, I assumed that you guys know the effects of mining, right?

Despite the fact that many small people support the shout, and trying to stop mining in the province of Mindoro, it is indeed the national government pushing it. Why is this so? This question bothered me before but now I know, it’s because there’s great amount of money in mining. It was said that mining is one of the great ways for the government to earn money and it can be primary source of budget. Tsk,tsk..! Poor environment, it will be destroy in exchange for money. And worst because nobody knows where the money will exactly go. Is it really for the citizens or in the pocket of few?

In addition, if the government really wants to have budget for the citizens “daw”, why not watch out those corrupt leaders spending thousands and millions for personal purposes and for own goods rather than using the environment (in negative ways) for income? Instead of destroying the environment, destroy those corrupt! If environment will be destroyed, thousands life will be at risk ,on the other hand, if the practice of corruption is the one that will be destroy, not only the life of Mindorenos will be save but the country as whole!

You! Yes, you! Even you are not from Mindoro and if you’ll going to say that you don’t care, then you must!!! Who knows, maybe your place is the next target site?

Let us all shout: No to mining, same thing to corruption and no to life destroyer!!! If you did shout, you save earth and you save life!!!

Bakit? First and foremost e dahil ng pera. Oo, pera! “The 2010 election is the time to make a change!”
